Gilt Flake is one of my favorite 90’s pop records, and the Hans & Brad record is my favorite of this year so far. Great stuff!

    • Rhett says:

The Brad Jones disc has been released in Japan in 1997 – cat # TOCP-50246.

You can buy them NEW on amazon japan from (in US dollars) anywhere from $14 – $31.

The Japan version also contains a 14th track by Brad (the Ginger records USA version was 13 tracks).

The 14th track is ‘Sorry Suzanne’ from the Hollies tribute on Ginger called ‘Sing Hollies In Reverse’.

Kinda cool if you don’t have that trib you can get it on this JPN version.

Who. “Emma Peel.” Now, that brings back some memories. 😉 Thanks, Bruce!

  3. kent18 says:

    Shoulda been “whoa,” above.

  4. Rhett says:

The Hans n Brad album is really cool too – and fun.

I’m just a Brad and Hans fan anyway – so I’m rather biased.

But pre-dating the Brad and Hans deal by 15 years – you can also hear Brad and Hans sing the Badfinger song ‘It’s Over’ from the Badfinger tribute disc on Copper Records from like 1996 – the trib is called ‘Come And Get It’ – very original trib title too, btw…(ha ha – sarcasm).

Little late to the party- but the Brad Jones/Hans/Shazam relationship is a musical sweet spot for me. Anything they do is a pretty much must buy. It’s exciting to hear that Brad has a mountain of stuff he may release at some point.

I recall Gilt Flake/Mountain Jack being available there as well (as of late 2011) for anyone catching up on the videos/music.
