OCTOBER – Futureman Records Digital Compilation

Posted on 01 October 2012

Note from Bruce:  One of the coolest developments in 2012 for power pop fans has been the re-entry of Futureman Records on the power pop scene.  This digital-only label run by Keith Klingensmith is making its mission to unearth and discover lost, out-of-print power pop greats.   How honorable and awesome is that?  Well, it’s HUGE.   I encourage everyone to check out the work Futureman is doing and, if something sounds cool that you see on the site, support it with your purchase – AND all dollars go directly to the artists.  OH YEAH – download the exclusive 19-song compilation from Keith and Futureman artists to all you Pop Pioneers!

DOWNLOAD the Futureman Records 19-song compilationHERE

(Right-Click and “Save” to your desktop or desired folder.  This is one compressed  file that contains the songs, track listing and cover art – just unzip once you have downloaded it. If you do not have a file compression utility, music fans need to have one on the computer you use for music.  My recommendation is 7-zip for Windows – HERE and )

Check out the main Futureman web site – HERE — You see amazing collections of music from Michael Carpenter, Starbelly, Gavin Guss, Lisa Mychols, The Lolas, The Liquor Giants, The Fletcher Pratt, Who Hit John, Tube Top(one of my top 100 power pop albums of the 90s, btw), a tribute to the Who’s “Sell Out” and many other releases.  The exciting thing is this:  There’s much more coming later in the year and into 2013. I’ve seen a list of much of what is on the horizon and…well, we all going to continue to be thankful for the work of Keith Klingensmith for some time to come.
