When Not Lame was going, I always looked forward to a new release from Scott Thurling’s Australian label because I knew that: 1. it was gonna be really good or really great(he’s never released a dud!) and 2. a CD from the label was gonna connect with Not Lame customers.
It’s POPBOOMERANG’s 10th Anniversary and it’s time for many Pop Pioneers to become more fully aware of what they have been doing.
So Scott has put together a very special compilation to share with all of us, exclusive to Pop Geek Heaven. It’s 25 songs and you can download the entire compilation right here below.

Hey Pop Geeks
2012 is a big year for Popboomerang Records as we turn 10 years old!
When in late 2002 we signed cheeky Melbourne pop kids “Sarah Sarah,” who would have thought we would now be fast approaching 100 releases in 2012.
Championing a style of music which has at times seemed out of step and unfashionable has been difficult but very rewarding.
A decade on and looking back, there have been heartaches, headaches and, of course, a few mistakes along the way, but the joy of hearing Popboomerang songs on the radio, reading a positive review or receiving the occasional “fan email” makes everything worthwhile.
The 10th birthday is a fitting time to celebrate the defining songs in the label’s history so far.
We will soon be releasing a limited edition 2 CD, 40 song retrospective compilation called:
Aches & Shakes: 2002-2012 – A Decade Of Popboomerang!

gosh i feel old! 10 years of Popboom!
Having trouble unzipping the file. Has anyone opened this in windows?
Jeff, I just downloaded and unzipped the folder on two different computers – a mac and windows. No problems. Anyone else?
(Note Some Folks: One HAS TO have a zip compression program as I mentioned above to ‘unzip’ — honestly, everyone should have some kind of compression program on their computers these days…there are hundreds of free options(like the ones I mention above).

No problem with the initial 25-song zip file. But I’m not having any luck at all with the “special secret bonus link” to the additional 27 songs. Not to be too greedy, but that link takes me to a “web poage cannot be found” dead page.
