BRYAN SCARY

It’s always big and important news when Bryan Scary announces a new project. And, yes, there is one ready for you to digest and start living inside with – and below you’ll be able to get a first-peek into new side  project called “Evil Arrows”, which is Bryan and a bunch of friends making awesomness.  This is, frankly, HUGE for you(so pay attention here…).

The reason why Scary matters is that he’s a true Pendleton-like explorer, who is courageously forcing himself into new frontiers few have the balls to attempt.  Scary’s music has a genre-bending orientation which makes everything he touches and ignites more than just interesting, his body of work continually finds a way to point in the direction of the evolution of Beatles-inspired music, in general.

Bryan Scary’s music run the gauntlet of many different music stylings – glam, power pop, vaudeville, orchestral and baroque 60s pop, progressive rock, punk and even hard rock.   It’s a melding and pastiche-y sticky application that pulls of the impossible:  making all those blended mixing work inside insanely catchy hooks and melodies.  The word  ‘brilliant’ applies.  I’ll toss out, respectfully, ‘genius’ – and I really try to reign the use of that word more carefully in my ‘getting older’, wiser years.

Imagine Queen, Jellyfish, ELO, Wings and XTC-inspired Field Music playing together nicely, happily.  Queue:  ‘the masses cheering loudly’.
